Terms of Use
Last updated: May 27, 2026
These terms govern access to SafeRide, including passenger reporting, operator responses, regulatory oversight, account use, and platform safety workflows.
1. Acceptance
By using SafeRide, you agree to use the platform lawfully, honestly, and only for public transport verification, reporting, ratings, administration, compliance, and related safety purposes.
2. Nature of the Platform
SafeRide is a safety accountability and reporting platform. It does not operate public transport vehicles, employ drivers, guarantee passenger safety, or replace emergency services, police, regulatory authorities, or courts.
3. User Responsibilities
- Passengers must submit truthful reports based on their own knowledge or clearly identified observations.
- Operators must keep registration, driver, route, vehicle, and response records accurate and current.
- Administrators must use the platform within their authority and preserve privacy, fairness, and audit integrity.
- Regulators or observers must treat platform records as operational intelligence unless formally verified through their own procedures.
4. Prohibited Use
You must not submit false reports, impersonate another person, publish private information, upload unlawful content, harass drivers or passengers, manipulate ratings, interfere with the platform, or use SafeRide to extort, threaten, defame, or retaliate.
5. Reports and Ratings
Reports are allegations until reviewed. Ratings are passenger experience signals, not official findings. Unregistered vehicle reports are stored separately as unverified intelligence and must not be treated as verified operator performance.
6. Account Access
Staff, operator, and regulator accounts are role-based. Users are responsible for protecting their login credentials and must report suspected unauthorized access promptly.
7. Platform Decisions
SafeRide may moderate, classify, reject, close, escalate, or retain reports where needed for safety, privacy, fraud prevention, legal compliance, or operational integrity.
8. Liability
SafeRide provides information and workflow tools. To the maximum extent permitted by law, SafeRide is not liable for transport incidents, operator conduct, passenger conduct, third-party misuse, inaccurate user-submitted reports, or decisions made outside the platform.
9. Changes
SafeRide may update these terms as the pilot, legal requirements, or operational model develops. Continued use after publication of updated terms means acceptance of those terms.
10. Governing Law
Unless a written agreement states otherwise, these terms are intended to be governed by the laws of Zimbabwe, subject to any mandatory consumer, transport, privacy, criminal, or public safety laws that apply.
